Fireball over Almería and Granada (South Spain), Aug. 28, 2015

m28agoOn August 28, 2015, at 20:15 UT, a fireball flew over Almería and Granada (South Spain) provinces, travelling from southeast to northwest. This fireball could be observed from several fireball detection stations located at Andalucía, including the one placed at Calar Alto Observatory.

Southern iota-Aquarids associated earthgrazer on August 21st, 2015

portadaAt 20:44 UT of last August 21st, 2015, a Southern iota-Acuarids associated fireball could be observed from both Calar Alto fireball detection station and surveillance east webcam. Although it was a low bright object, it remained visible for a long time.

portadaAs expected, another bright Alpha-Capricornid fireball from comet 169P/NEAT meteoroid has been observed, in this case in front of Almería's coast (south Spain) on July 26, 2015 at 04:26 UT.

Fireball from Comet 169P/NEAT on July 22nd 2015

portadaOn July 22nd, 2015, four fireballs flew over the Iberian Peninsula. Calar Alto fireball detection station and the west surveillance webcam, detected the one that crossed Málaga Skies. This object came from Comet 169P/Neat and took place at 22:07 UT.

Fireball with possible cometary origin on July 7th, 2015

portadaThis fireball happened on July 7th, 2015, about 20:01:10 UT, when there was still some daylight. Unfortunately, this object seems to be observed only at Calar Alto fireball detection station and external surveillance webcams, so presently neither triangulation could be achieved nor its ground path.
