A new detector has been mounted. The performance of the new detector is substantially better than before. Noise is lower, full well capacity has increased (mainly by some modifications to the electronics), all four quadrants behave similar, frame to frame stability is much more constant. Test data will be placed as soon as possible here in this pages.

Observer's feedback with data and experience is welcome!

December '99

The new electronics has replaced the old one officially. It is offered as the standard electronics for OPrime. There are still some remaining noise problems with the new Full MPIA mode but all the other modes work fine.

October '99

A new set of read out electronics is available at a shared risk basis. This new electronics offer the new read out mode which is already available with OCass. The advantage of this read out mode is a significant higher efficiency at short integration times. See the OCass manual for further information about this mode.
